Coal Creek Adult Education Center began operation in September of 2014 after a local community college cancelled it’s adult English as a Second Language and GED preparation classes for adults. Our Executive Director/Founder and our instructors worked at that college program for many years and are proud of the great work they did there.
When we learned that the program we had been dedicated to for so long was going away we decided that we should start our own school so we could continue to serve our students and provide them with the educational opportunities that will help them improve their lives.
Coal Creek Adult Education Center is growing and growing as those in our service area learn of our high quality staff, instructors, and classes. This short video demonstrates how we took the unhappy news of our program closing and turned that into something positive that will be in our community far into the future.
